Seamer Technician (Apply in Person or Submit Resume)

Critical Control Points

  • Evaluate seams on cans
  • Maintain the seamer machines to a reliable standard
  • Carry out PM’s on seamers
  • Make adjustments to the seamers from the findings of the PM
  • Carry out can inspections using the vision system to ensure that the seam integrity meets the can manufacturers specifications, measuring the closed seam of the can for faults.

Skills and Abilities

  • Requires high school diploma, or equivalent
  • Have at least 5 years Maintenance experience with repairing the following seamer models “Angelas 40P and 53L”
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance procedures for the above model seamers
  • Skilled in mechanical repairs electrical/electronics, and plumbing as related to a manufacturing environment
  • Pneumatic scale experience
  • Basic math skills required
  • Personal Computer Skills – Familiar with MS Excel, Word

  • Make sure right product for correct line
  • Insuring all equipment is assembled properly for each product
  • Make sure Seamer Operator and you are on same page with product to run for that day
  • All links are ran by day code batch and rack number and ran in order

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Get with Supervisor and Maintenance for equipment setup

  • Inspect product prior to running it for quality, and ensuring that the right product is ran in the right order it was made (oldest to newest)
  • Start running quality product making proper adjustments to equipment

Sanitation Lead (Apply in Person or Submit Resume)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understanding local regulatory requirements and policies related to health, safety and sanitation
  • Responsible for oversight of the plant sanitation
  • Ability to troubleshoot and be proactive
  • Make Sanitation schedules
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining sanitation procedures and programs
  • Monitoring adherence to sanitation program policies and procedures in the plant and reports discrepancies to plant management
  • Conduct daily sanitation GMP inspections of the facility and participates in the annual review
  • Responsible for Plant and production equipment cleaning and record keeping
  • Ensure upkeep and following of the Master Sanitation schedule
  • Perform sanitation requirements in accordance with company needs
  • Promote improvement efforts in sanitation
  • Make suggestions regarding improved techniques for the control of plant cleanliness
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of the sanitation department to maximize productivity while maintaining quality
  • Train & provide leadership to sanitation personnel
  • Train all employees in sanitation SOPs, as well as, conduct refresher training to ensure employees are trained on updates and modification to SOPs

Reports to the Director of Technical Services

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)

  • Verifies compliance with all company prerequisite programs, regulatory and Kosher requirements
  • Verifies compliance with net weight requirements
  • Conducts, and documents, pre-operational sanitation inspections (day shift only)
  • Interacts with production leads in an attempt to prevent food quality/safety issues
  • Executes the company’s Product Retention Policy when food quality/safety issues arise
  • Conducts, and documents, in-process GMP inspections
  • Documents cleanliness of process area
  • Documents employee usage of hairnets, gloves, etc.
  • Performs regular Critical Control Point checks
  • Weight checks
  • Verifies batching
  • Verifies cook times and temperatures
  • Performs visual seam evaluations
  • Performs periodic organoleptic inspection of product
