Kaffree Jelly is a vegan and de-caffeinated version of the refreshing Japanese summertime dessert named coffee jelly. Enjoy on its own or top it over a vanilla latte for a summer treat. This two-part luxury drink will make your mouth water, and keeps traditional latte flavors without any of the actual coffee.
Serving Size: 1 Kaffree Jelly with Vanilla Latte
For Kaffree Jelly:
- 2 tbsp Kaffree Roma
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp/3g of agar agar
- 1 tbsp sugar/agave syrup
For Vanilla Latte:
- 1 1/2 cups silk vanilla soy milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp Kaffree Roma
- 2 tsp sugar/agave syrup
- 1/2 cup water
To create Kaffree Jelly, in a saucepan, heat water and bring to boil. Next, add in Kaffree Roma, sugar/agave syrup, and agar agar. Mix till everything is well combined.
Pour in a deep dish or tray to set. Cool down completely and refrigerate for about 1.5 hours, or till the jelly sets. Cut in desired shape and keep aside.
In another saucepan, heat water for vanilla latte. Once the water comes to boil, add in Kaffree Roma and mix. Remove from heat and let it cool down.
In a blender, add in the vanilla flavored soy milk, vanilla extract, agave syrup/sugar, and Kaffree Roma mixed in water. Blend till well combined
To serve, in a glass, add in the Kaffree Jelly and pour vanilla latte on top.
Make Kaffree Jelly ahead of time and refrigerate to store. Stays good for up to a week.
