Serving Size: 1 Large Stromboli (in half circle)
- 1 neat egg (1 tbsp of neat egg powder mixed with 2 tbsp of water)
- 1 pack neat Italian Mix, cooked into crumbles
- 1 jar pizza sauce
- Shredded vegan mozzarella cheese
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1 tsp white sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 1/2 cups bread flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp salt
Preheat oven to 450F.
To assemble the stromboli, place pizza dough circle on a pizza pan or cookie sheet.
Knead 2 minutes, then let rest 5 minutes. Roll dough into a 1/4″ thick circle.
Spoon 1/3-1/2 cup pizza sauce only on half of the circle.
Top the pizza sauce with the cooked neat crumbles. Then top with the mozzarella.
Fold the other half of the circle over top of the sauce/neat/cheese side, forming a semi-circle.
Seal the dough together around the edges by pressing a fork into both layers of dough.
Optional: top the unbaked stromboli with olive oil (brushed on top), vegan cheese, dried basil, and garlic salt.
Bake in the oven at 450F for 16-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve after cool by slicing with pizza cutter.
