Pita Bread with the neat egg

SERVINGS: Makes 8 pita breads.


1  0.25 ounce package active dry yeast

1 cup warm water

1 cup flour

1 ½ tablespoons olive oil

1 neategg. prepared according to package instructions

1 ¾ teaspoons salt

1 ¾ to 2 cups flour

1 teaspoon olive oil



Place yeast into the bowl of a stand mixer and add 1 cup water and 1 cup flour.  Whisk together and let stand for 15 minutes.  Pour 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil, the neat egg, and the salt into the yeast mixture.  Add 1 ¾ cup flour.  Using the kneading attachment, mix at a low speed for 5-6 minutes until the dough forms a slightly sticky ball.  If the dough sticks to the sides of the bowl and a little more flour, up to …

Egg-free crepes with the neat egg

Voilà! Egg-free crepes…made possible by the neat egg! Brunch is Served!


SERVINGS: Makes 4 servings



½ cup plant-based milk

1 tablespoon neat egg powder

½ cup water

¼ cup plant-based butter, melted

1 tablespoon organic sugar

2 tablespoons high-quality maple syrup

1 cup flour

Pinch of salt

Nonstick spray



Heat a griddle, crepe maker, or a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.  Whisk together all ingredients until thoroughly combined.  Cover and chill for 1-2 hours.  Spray the cooking surface with non-stick spray.  Pour about ¼ cup of the batter onto the surface.  Using a crepe spreader, form a thin, even circle.  Cook until golden and then flip to cook the other side.  Continue with the remaining batter.  Enjoy!

Cinnamon Rolls with the neategg

The perfect weekend starts with fresh baked cinnamon rolls, made 100% plant-based with the neategg!  These are topped off with a plant-based take on cream cheese frosting, making it impossible to eat just one.

3 tablespoons plant-based butter

1 cup plant-based milk

2 ¼ tsp instant yeast

1 ½  tablespoons sugar

Pinch of salt

3 cups of flour

1 tablespoon of oil

1 neat egg prepared according to package instructions


Cinnamon Filling:

5 tablespoons plant-based butter

⅓ cup sugar

1 ½ tablespoons cinnamon


Additional 3 tablespoons plant-based butter (melted) for brushing.


Plant-based cream cheese icing:

½ cup plant-based butter, softened

6 ounces plant-based cream cheese

3-4 cups powdered sugar

Fruit and Nut Energy Bars with the neategg

1 ½ cups puffed rice cereal

¾ cup salted almonds

¾ cup salted pistachios

1 cup dried cherries

½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut

½ cup brown rice syrup

¼ cup almond butter

2 tablespoons neategg powder



Line an 8 X 8 baking pan with parchment paper.

Mix together the first five dry ingredients and set aside.

In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, heat the rice syrup, almond butter, and neategg and stir until thoroughly combined and heated through, about 3 minutes.

Pour the liquid over the dry ingredients and stir with a nonstick silicone spatula until the dry mixture is evenly coated.
