On Wednesday, I had the honor of virtually attending the Loma Linda University Scholarship Ceremony. For everyone at Atlantic Natural Foods, LLC (ANF), the leading shelf-stable, plant-based manufacturer of award-winning Loma Linda® and TUNO™ brand foods, it was truly a great honor to have participated by celebrating and providing a word of gratitude for the inspiring individuals whose life goals align with our brand mission to enable people to live healthier, longer lives.
For five years, Atlantic Natural Foods has awarded Loma Linda University students with Scholarships in honor of Elder Alejo Pizarro, co-founder of Loma Linda Foods and founder of Cedar Lake MGM Foods. Elder Pizarro made it his life’s work to create sustainable, plant-based foods for anyone committed to taking the mantle of Adventism.
The Atlantic Natural Foods Scholarship was born when I had the pleasure of meeting Loma Linda University President Dr. Richard Hart, as well as other members of the University. I was humbled with the vision of its leadership to make Loma Linda University a world leader in health and nutrition. Years later, we continue to be awestruck by their accomplishments and we stay true to their instruction, “Don’t change the Fri-Chik or BIG Franks.”
On behalf of Atlantic Natural Foods, I would like to congratulate Jessica Reynolds, who is completing a Master of Public Health in Nutrition, and Lauren Wheeler, who is completing a Master of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics, who are this semester’s recipients of the 2021 Atlantic Natural Foods Scholarship
Congratulations Students, and Thank You, All!
